current song: The Herbaliser - "Unsungsong"

Woman cries because she's told to take down her HUGE American flag, put up in a shared space that's open to visitors.

Oh yes, there's plenty of reason to get upset over this. Mostly the fact that a news organization actually picked it up and ran a statement like:

"I find it very frightening because if I can't display my flag," McLucas asked, "what other freedoms will I lose before all is said and done?"

Because as we all know, Kindred Hospital in Mansfield is out to impinge our rights of putting up huge American flags where ever we please. Hell, they won't even let me put one over the front windshield of my car. What is this world coming to?

Intelligent Design beat down!
All I have to say is that this is the perfect response to a Creationist seeking a debate.

The Streets - Blinded by the Lights
One of these things is not like the other...

The continuing adventures of Dr. Tran
Just be careful not to slam your dick in the door of a luxury sedan.

Aesop Rock - Coffee (featuring John Darnielle)
I just love the song and the video. I can't help it.

Guitar: Impossible
I think the editing on this is amazing.

That's all I got for now. I need to start tracking all the things I see on the internet, because I know there's a ton of stuff I could post, I just don't keep track of everything I look at. Maybe I should make a Firefox extension for tracking and automatically posting stuff I find to LJ once a day. Hmmmm...

If you like classical and rock, you should adore 65daysofstatic. They are my favorite band of all time.

Other than listening to them a lot (and I didn't just start, I've been listening to them off and on for months..) I've just been chilling out and enjoying a break. School starts back up in Jan, going to enjoy my time off.

So, I'm watching this Lindsay Lohan movie on FX -- well, it's on the TV while I'm doing my Discrete Math final. I've noticed that a commercial for the morning after pill has been played TWICE so far during this movie. Do they know their audience or what?

It's snowing in Beaumont, wow! This is crazy, it's so bright outside. There must be at least an inch of snow on the ground already. I'm tempted to go out into it right now.

Thanksgiving is almost here in the U.S., heralding the start of the holiday season and the first of many meals where you might be confronted with a traditional dish that you happen to find disgusting. What holiday food do you hate to see on the table?

Boiled cabbage. The smell of it makes me want to throw up.

As some people whom have me friended know, I'm a Computer Science student who is also on the rolls as a co-op with United Space Alliance. Being a co-op means that for at least two semesters, you go work for the company doing whatever they see fit to assign you -- and in exchange they pay you (pretty well, actually) and give you some job experience.

Well, I've done two semesters as a co-op with them, one of which I spent working on a project that just won a Space Flight Awareness Team Award. I found this out today because a big package arrived at my door, containing a framed award, a coin made out of metal flown on the space shuttle, and a pin that says Space Flight Awareness Team. I am, to the say the least, stoked.

It is, as they say in the internet vernacular, teh awesum. ;)
